Directory of Researchers

We have compiled a preliminary directory of researchers by geographic area of study and by country of residence. Currently it lists the names of more than 700 researchers in 47 countries.

We invite scholars who are working on issues of historical justice and memory and can’t find their name here, to let us know of their contact details, institutional affiliation and webpage, and encourage all network members to let us know about other researchers who ought to be listed here and/or who ought to be invited to join the network. If possible, please send us also their relevant email addresses and URLs.

The directory of researchers lists scholars who have published substantial articles or books on issues of historical justice and memory. We appreciate that there are many others, including M.A. and PhD students, who are currently working on those issues and whose research hasn’t yet been published. We are intending to create another resource further down the track; it will be directed specifically at graduate students and designed to generate intellectual exchange. Of course, anybody with an interest in research on historical justice and memory, regardless of whether or not they are students, independent researchers, salaried or retired scholars or human rights advocates, is welcome to join the network and to receive our newsletters by email, to become a follower to our twitter feed and/or to sign up for our blog.

Please send any amendments or corrections to the directory of researchers, and requests for network membership, to dialogues@columbia.edu.

The directory is organised:
